January 29, 2020—Mike O’Malley, President of the Railway Supply Institute (RSI), released the following statement regarding today’s signing of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).
“For over two decades, free trade in North America has helped RSI member companies integrate their supply chains to maximize efficiencies, costs, and access to resources while creating a highly efficient rail network. Today’s historic signing will ensure that the substantial benefits associated with this integrated marketplace are preserved and help sustain over 125,000 jobs and $74 billion in annual GDP that the rail supply industry produces.”
