RSI Issues Call for Board Member Nominations

Washington, DC – April 5, 2018 – The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) is soliciting nominations for officials from member companies to serve on its board of directors for a term beginning in January, 2019. Board members serve for a three-year term and are expected to attend each board meeting, participate on committees, and be available to staff and members. Nominees must be from a member company in good standing; self-nominations are allowed.

“The ideal candidate for the RSI board is a senior executive from a member company who is dedicated to helping advance the goals of our association and our industry,” said RSI President Mike O’Malley. “For potential candidates, serving on the RSI board brings the opportunity to represent their industry segment and the larger railway supply community in a leadership position. Being an RSI board member is a rewarding experience that requires commitment to the mission and aspirations of our organization and member companies.”

The nominating form explains the requirements and qualifications needed for prospective board members. The list of current board members is available at https://www.rsiweb.org/board.

O’Malley noted that nominees will be vetted by the nominating committee and presented to the board for consideration. The RSI board will present a slate of candidates to the full RSI membership for ratification at the RSI Annual Membership Meeting, which will be held September 9, 2018 at 2 pm CT at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee during the RSI/CMA 2018 Rail Expo & Technical Conference. Nominations are due by May 18, 2018.
