Washington, DC, May 27, 2020 – The Railway Supply Institute (RSI) announced today that Lee Verhey would be joining RSI as the new Director of Regulatory & Industry Affairs. Verhey will manage RSI’s American Railcar (ARCI), Equipment Leasing, and Quality Assurance committees while overseeing the association’s development and response to technical and regulatory policy issues of interest to the industry. Verhey previously served as the Senior Vice President of Quality at TrinityRail and brings 43 years of experience in railcar operations, manufacturing, and maintenance to the role.
“Lee’s technical knowledge of railcar specifications, repair, and maintenance will be a tremendous asset to our organization and to our member companies,” said Mike O’Malley, President of RSI. “Having been an active member of RSI’s Quality Assurance Committee for many years, we are excited to bring someone onboard that shares our organization’s commitment to driving continuous improvement in the railway supply industry.”
