Lee Verhey is the Executive Director, Committee on Tank Cars at the Railway Supply Institute, where he is responsible for supporting the RSI Committee on Tank Cars.
Lee has over 45 years’ experience in the rail industry. He began his career with the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad where he was responsible for railcar and locomotive maintenance. In 1988, he joined Trinity Industries Leasing Company and was Manager of Fleet Operations until 1995 when he assumed manufacturing Quality Assurance responsibilities for TrinityRail. He has extensive knowledge of rail industry operations, regulations, and industry standards. He is a seasoned Quality professional with 25 years’ experience in railcar manufacturing and repair.
Lee and his wife, Carol, live in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas metroplex and enjoy spending time with their 5 children and 12 grandchildren at their family camp in southeastern Oklahoma where they enjoy hunting, fishing, hiking, and boating.
