RI15 Show Organizers Introduce Suitcasing Policy
February 15, 2015. Railway Interchange 2015 (RI15) Show Organizers are making attendees and exhibitors aware of its no suitcasing / outboarding policies at its upcoming trade show and conference this October 4 – 6 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
These increased measures protect exhibitors from suitcasing at RI15 which takes away from their exhibit space investment and undermines our industry. Our rules and regulations strictly prohibit solicitation, “suitcasing” or “outboarding” by attendees who transact business at RI15 or hotels or venues associated with the event who are not exhibiting or sponsoring the event.
What are suitcasing and outboarding?
Suitcasing refers to non-exhibiting companies or persons who solicit business in the aisles, food courts or in other public spaces, including another company’s booth or a hotel lobby during the Railway Interchange event.
Outboarding refers to non-exhibiting companies or persons that set up exhibits at off-site locations such as hotel hospitality suites.
Anyone attendee or exhibitors suspecting this is happening is encouraged to contact Railway Interchange 2015 show management.
