Not only are the indoor and outdoor venues top notch, Railway Interchange 2011 is being held at one of the most fun cities in America at a beautiful time of year - Minneapolis, September 18 - 21, 2011.
Nudged right against the Mississippi River, Minneapolis boasts many urban attractions such as fine dining, shopping, museums, and world class accommodations. Sidewalk cafes and shopping line Nicollet Mall, entertainment abounds in the Warehouse District and Broadway shows are onstage in the Hennepin Theatre District. You'll find plenty of opportunities to entertain and connect after show hours.
Outdoor recreation is year-round in the City of Lakes; the Mississippi River and numerous parks and lakes provide a beautiful background for walking or biking. Visit the historic Riverfront District and see the mill ruins where Minneapolis got its start in the flour industry.
Minneapolis Convention Center
The main venue for Railway Interchange 2011 will be the Minneapolis Convention Center, a trade show friendly facility with over 480,000 square feet of space and 87 column-free conference meeting rooms.
Conveniently located close to freeways and only 20 minutes from the airport on the southern edge of downtown Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Convention Center is easy for attendees and exhibitors to find. Plus, the Minneapolis convention, trade show and event center is connected by climate-controlled skyways to the downtown hotels, restaurants and shopping.
CP's Humboldt Yard
The outdoor exhibits will be held 20 minutes northwest of the Convention Center at Canadian Pacific's Humboldt Yard. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the Minneapolis Convention Center and Humboldt Yard.
