Chairman — Ralph H. Miller
Vice President
Plasser American Corporation
Composed of equipment and component suppliers for creating and maintaining railroad rights-of-way, this committee investigates and seeks solutions to common problems and undertakes projects to dramatize the importance of proper track maintenance.
One issue with which this committee is particularly concerned is Amtrak. Committee members regularly contact congressional appropriators during the annual budget appropriations process to request higher funding for Amtrak. The committee also constantly reviews legislative issues such as the reauthorization of the Federal Railroad Safety Act and those also affecting the railroads' maintenance of rights-of-way.
Next meeting of Maintenance-of-Way Committee
To be announced.
